Starting as a delivery service for local merchants in 1922 E. W. Eastman created Merchants Delivery. During the next 20 years local and long distance household goods moving services were added and the company moves to its permanent home.

After World War II. A. W. Eastman returned to lead the company through many changes. Adding to household goods moving service is an IH/Navistar truck dealership and a truck rental and leasing company.

The third generation, Jim Eastman becomes President in 1982 and guides the company through deregulation and focuses on corporate relocation service. The truck leasing company and truck dealership are sold and Archives, a record storage company is started.

In 1996, Jennifer Eastman, E.W. Eastman's great-granddaughter, joins Merchants as company controller. After 80 years in business, Merchants is certainly larger and better equipped than when it began.

Our family has a passion for providing professional household goods moving services and all our employees are focused on you, the customer. We've made the necessary changes to insure that our process, of a single source gives us total control of your household goods from beginning to end.
